Meet the Founder

In 1996 Exclusive Collectables founder Frank Nohra stumbled into the hobby and collectable industry through his passion of die cast model collecting. Some 15 years later Frank and his team have developed a wide range of hobby products available in over 16 company owned and developed brands available through Australia’s first and only hobby store franchise system…. This where you have the opportunity to meet one of the industry’s most influential figures.

“From the very start I was passionate about collecting die cast model cars, at the time when my family and i decided to open the doors to Exclusive Collectables at our Hombush service station we never expected my hobby to grow into what it is today.

After all I was a fruit and vegetable agent that operated a service station down the road from my warehouse and even found that challenging at times, but I found a way to ease my stresses through my hobby and decided that it might be a bit of fun mixing my passion with my business.

So after I sold a few models by accident to a customer one night as we were closing the service station I started to see that there was a bit of a market for some budget models and done a bit of a ring around and within a few days had some models on the shelf.

Fifteen years later and here we are, Australia’s first hobby store franchisor and helping other hobbyists turn their passion into their business by allowing  them to work for themselves but not by themselves through our franchise business model.

We have all been working hard at perfecting the “Exclusive Collectables Experience” both in store and in our franchise model and I would have to say that im proud of what we have achieved and it wouldn’t have been accomplished with our talented team of product developers and designers, sales staff, franchise development managers, franchisees and most of all our loyal customers that enjoy visiting our stores and collecting our products.

I am confident that we will continue to deliver on our promise of Listen, Develop & Deliver and enjoy looking forward long into the future as our family grows and thank all that have been and are involved in Exclusive Collectables."
